Afternoon Tea at Eccleston Square

Situated within a Georgian building in Pimlico, that neighbours a building which boasts it once housed Winston Churchill, is the Eccleston Square Hotel. After developing a constant craving for afternoon tea, I looked online in hopes of finding a reasonably priced afternoon tea in London to treat Mum to. After perusing the TimeOut offers web page one day, I happened to find an Afternoon Tea for Two with a glass of champagne deal at the Eccleston Square Hotel for £32.50. image image image Upon arrival at the hotel restaurant, we were given the choice of which table to sit at and we naturally chose the setting for two in the bay window, where we could watch the world go by. Shortly after being offered a selection of loose leaf teas, our afternoon tea tray arrived accompanied by two glasses of bubbly- bliss! The afternoon tea tray had 4 little rich chocolate bites, 2 mini Battenberg cakes, 2 Victoria sponge cakes, a selection of finger sandwiches on white and brown bread (salmon, egg, cucumber) and of course- 2 raisin scones accompanied by clotted cream and berry jam. image image image Both myself and Mum thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Eccleston Square Hotel. The service was pleasant but not obnoxiously attentive, the food and drink was delicious and the atmosphere was very chic. I would highly recommend checking out the Eccleston Square Hotel’s champagne afternoon tea for a delicious and luxurious treat that won’t break the bank!
