
One day whilst perusing my newsfeed on Facebook, I saw that Buzzfeed had published an article on a ‘Two-Week Clean Eating Challenge’ which was ‘actually delicious’.
After scrolling through the photos of all the food, I was rather intrigued and made a promise to myself that after ‘pinning’ it onto my ‘Food and Drink’ board on Pinterest, I would do it for 2 weeks when:
- I had money (The challenge seemed to be quite expensive)
- I was sure that I could commit two weeks without going out for meals, alcohol etc. and spoiling it all- if I was going to do this, I was going to do it properly!
So on Saturday the 16th of May, I trotted down to my local Sainsburys, Wholefoods and fresh fruit and veg market to stock up on the supplies and started the preparation for my Day 1 on Sunday!
I plan on keeping a little food diary and review on this blog (mainly for selfish reasons!) as I want to keep myself accountable for what I eat and also how I feel, what meals I like/don’t like etc. The plan is split up into two sections- Week 1 and Week 2, so I’ll put daily blog posts summarising everything as well as a summary at the end of the week.
My main aim of this challenge is that it inspires me with new, exciting and fresh recipes that I can introduce after the challenge is complete, kick start me back into a healthier relationship with food (and portion sizes!) and also to just feel a little better about myself!
So.. Let’s do this!
